The new series will follow private investigator Neagley.

Prime Video announced today that the universe of its hit drama Reacher is expanding with the order of a new spinoff. The announcement was made by Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon MGM Studios, at the 'Prime Video Presents: Trailblazers' event in London.
The new series, temporarily dubbed 'The Untitled Neagley Project,' will follow Chicago private investigator Frances Neagley. When she learns that a beloved friend from her past has been killed in a suspicious accident, she becomes determined to seek justice. Using everything she learned from Jack Reacher and her time as a member of the 110 Special Investigators, Neagley puts herself on a dangerous path to uncover a menacing evil.
"As Reacher continues to resonate with our global customers in a profound way, expanding on the storytelling and characters with a spinoff was an easy decision," said Vernon Sanders, head of television, Amazon MGM Studios. "With Nick and Nicholas as well as our partners Skydance and CBS Studios, we're confident this new chapter, starring the amazing Maria Sten, will not only honor the Reacher legacy but also bring fresh energy and excitement to new and longtime fans alike."
"I'm beyond thrilled to further explore the world of Neagley and her somewhat mysterious background," said Sten. "She's such a wonderful character to play and I'm very excited for everyone to get to know her a little better."

I think the working title says it all. It seems they don't have the conviction/direction of the series to even give a name.

I'll probably give it a try. However as a spinoff I think I'd rather have seen it based more on the characters from the first season of Reacher (Oscar Finlay, Roscoe Conklin and even Jasper).

I will check it out. If it is by the same people that produce Reacher it should be good.

I like her character. But a female lead action show is a hard one to succeed at. They should try , but reachers main viewers are men. This is one reason every star wars series of late failed. Acolyte was actually good, unlike the disney plus before that which was bad. but the constant lack of men characters as leads meant most men just did not watch and 80% of sci fi and action viewers are men . I will give this a try though...

Wait!? Keith is saying there might be liberals in Hollywood??? Well, when the hell did THAT happen!?!? Next youre going to tell me they hate guns and like vaccines too! ... oh please, grow up, they played songs from the LBGQT^%4()c community at the convention and nobody cared... Personally, im in, I liked the Neagley character alot... maybe even more than Reacher himself... and hope they can do it justice on a solo round.

I like her as a sidekick, but I'm not sure she works as a main character.

I didn't see anything that Alan said about politics that isn't true. Just makes him observant to what's going on, nothing to be attacked about.

The continuation of the series would have worked if ALAN RITCHSON hadn't come out of the closet as a flaming woke Libbie and just kept his mouth shut.
(No, I'm not saying he's gay)

I'll give it a chance.
