The drama earns another early pickup ahead of Season 6.

Netflix announced today that Virgin River has been picked up for a seventh season; the news being announced by the cast in a video posted to social media. It's another early pickup for the romantic drama, coming two months ahead of the release of Season 6.
Since its premiere in 2019, the series has continued to be a strong performer for the streaming service. All five seasons have ranked in the Netflix Global Top 10 English series list, with the most recent fifth season making the Top 10 list in 77 countries. With Season 7 now confirmed, the show is set to become the streamer's longest-running English language drama of all time.
Based on Robyn Carr's bestselling book series, Virgin River follows a nurse practitioner looking for a fresh start. After moving from Los Angeles to a remote northern California town, she is surprised by the welcome she receives and who she finds there.
