No Season 6 for the Queen Latifah drama.
May 2, 2025
It is being reported that CBS has cancelled The Equalizer after five seasons. The news comes ahead of this Sunday's finale, which will now serve as the drama's series ender. The show was the last scripted series at the network to have its fate decided for the 2025-2026 season.
The show stars Queen Latifah as Robyn McCall, an enigmatic single mother with a mysterious background who utilizes her extensive skills to help those with nowhere else to turn. Known as The Equalizer to a trusted few, she is an anonymous guardian angel and defender of the downtrodden, who will stop at nothing in her pursuit of personal redemption.

Network television is garbage. This was a terrible show with a ridiculous premise. The movies and original show were great.

I loved Harry & Mel, and I enjoyed Aunt Viv. I did not like Dante, and I stopped watching shortly after this season began. I certainly don't care that this show is over, but I'm still upset about So Help Me, Todd a year later!!! CBS, bring that show back!!!! Along with that one, NCIS LA, NCIS Hawaii and Blue Bloods should return!
I used to watch CBS almost every night; now, it's just NCIS and Ghosts

ABOUT TIME
Watched the first 3 seasons.
Could you get more woke? Probably not, but there's no cross-dressers yet.
EVERY black is innocent, down-trodden, and a victim of the System or Whites. EVERY one.
If a White person shows up in the show... obviously they're the guilty ones.
And finally, completely in the can for ILLEGALS.
The only episode I could respect is the one where the wife was being physically abused.
In the credits is listed an "acting coach" for QL.

Her lame family storylines killed the show

I love the show and I am not planning to watch CBS shows in fall and that is my choice to cancel CBS next season season

Special effects were comical. I hope they paid her stunt person A LOT because there is no way she did anything remotely physical. The show was tailored for the CW but since CBS is turning into the CW easy to see why it stayed there.

Look after 3 episodes we all knew this show was average. Sure the writing was ok, but to have Queen as an FBI agent who struggled to bend down and barely could move was its core problem.
Yes she is likable and that's probably what kept it around, but essentially from what I'm reading it's the same episode week after week with the special effects getting worse and worse each season.
I'll be honest, I could not believe it made it to season 3.
