It is being reported that CBS has cancelled The Equalizer after five seasons. The news comes ahead of this Sunday's finale, which will now serve as the drama's series ender. The show was the last scripted series at the network to have its fate decided for the 2025-2026 season.
The show stars Queen Latifah as Robyn McCall, an enigmatic single mother with a mysterious background who utilizes her extensive skills to help those with nowhere else to turn. Known as The Equalizer to a trusted few, she is an anonymous guardian angel and defender of the downtrodden, who will stop at nothing in her pursuit of personal redemption.

I hope for the fans that it does not end on a cliffhanger!! Five seasons is nothing to be ashamed of.

My husband and I really enjoyed this show; the characters were likable and pretty down to earth. Read all other comments and agree that CBS is dumping good shows so they can replace them with cheap, reality programming. If you, CBS, wonder why the audience fell away - look no further than your programming. On 1 week, then off for 3; changing its time. There is just so little I watch on your channel anymore won’t be long before we decide not to bother with you at all!

I'm honestly surprised it made it that long. I couldn't make it past the second episode when it was new, but five seasons is an accomplishment in Hollywood these days.

Equalizer was a Terrible show! The two FBI shows were okay, but the "Most Wanted" one suffered when the lead was replaced by Dylan McDermott. Although he has been good in other shows, his overacting in angry scenes was hilarious!
