The dramedy is ending after four seasons.

Word is out that USA Network has cancelled Resident Alien after four seasons. The news comes with three episodes remaining in the dramedy's now-final season, with its August 8 episode, aptly titled "The End Is Here," serving as the series finale.
"I knew going into it that this was likely going to be our final season," creator Chris Sheridan told TV Insider. "Creatively, that was exciting because I knew we could spend the time wrapping up some storylines and driving toward an ending. I'm so proud of how good Season 4 is and especially proud that we were able to finish as strongly as we did, with a finale that is probably my favorite episode of the series."
Based on the Dark Horse comic of the same name, Resident Alien follows an alien named Harry that has crash landed on Earth with a mission to kill all humans. He decides to pass himself off as a small-town doctor to mix in among the people, but things get tricky when he gets pulled into solving a local murder and realizes he needs to assimilate further into his new surroundings. As he does this, Harry starts to wrestle with the moral dilemma of his mission and begins wondering if humans might be worth saving.

Seriously, USA, why did you even bother picking it up from SYFY? You couldn't even give them two more seasons to wrap everything up? What a waste. I will greatly miss this show. Met Alan Tudyk in person and he is just as delightfully eccentric and funny as his character (which I think is really him LOL). Very nice man.
