ABC announced today that Will Trent has been renewed for a fifth season. The news comes with four episodes remaining in the crime drama's fourth season, which has continued to garner solid ratings for the network across both linear viewing and streaming.
Based on the hit book series by Karin Slaughter, the show follows Special Agent Will Trent of the Georgia Bureau of Investigations (GBI), who was abandoned at birth and grew up in Atlanta's overwhelmed foster care system. Determined to use his unique point of view to ensure nobody else is abandoned like he was, Trent has the highest clearance rate in the GBI.
Look for Season 5 of Will Trent during the 2026-2027 season.
