A reality show where obese contestants compete lose the highest percentage of their body weight.
The contestants are grouped into teams, with each team being assigned a personal trainer. These trainers design workout and nutrition plans, but it is up to the contestants on how much or little of the plan to follow.
Each season starts with a weigh-in to determine their starting weights, and another weigh-in at the end of the week determines which team has lost the most weight for that week, in percentage of total weight lost. The losing team must then vote off one member.
When the number of contestants has shrunk to a predetermined smaller number, the teams are dissolved.

The show was cancelled because of the negative press from previous contestants and winners. Most of them gained back all or most of the weight they lost, and now suffer from additional health issues due to the physical and mental stress put on them by the production staff and not the trainers. If it was only a handful of previous "losers" who gained the weight back, it could have been chalked up to coincidence, but there's a lot more than just a few.

I think when Jillian left and the girl that won on the last season she was on starved herself to win was the death of the show. It was supposed to support healthy living not just to starve and cheat to win the money.

I still enjoyed watching and seeing people try to get healthy with weight loss. Bummer.

Never before has a man's personality (Bob Harper) and his tat sleeves been more of a mismatch. He even has a neck tattoo. I'm sorry but something doesn't mesh.

I miss Jillian but Dolvett . . . WOW: He is something to admire; when I work out at the gym, I think of the passion that he has in pushing the contestants and work a little bit harder.

I desperately need to get on the show very badly!! My health and life depend on it. I have medical problems, which makes me have to take a whole lot of different kinds of medicine. Now I have to use a C-PAP machine, have Edema and Cellulitis in both my legs. It would really help me for me to be on the show. I cannot do this on my own. It is so hard for me to do this on my own. I have tried different diets and they only work for a while and the weight comes back with a vengence. I really, really need BOB and DOLVETT's help with this.
