A horror television series set in post-apocalyptic times.
Set in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse, a small group of survivors travel across the United States, which is now a desolate wasteland. Surrounded by hordes of zombies, they search for a new home away from the undead.
Sheriff's deputy Rick Grimes leads the group, as their desperation to survive pushes them to the brink of insanity.

I'm quitting watching the show after this season's premiere. They have degraded the show to gore and violence at the expense of good solid plot. The heroes of the story, who have shown themselves to be fighters, would never have kneeled, untied, like meek sheep to watch themselves be killed off. Poor writing in favor of a gory cheap thrill scene

This and Fear the Walking Dead are best dystopian survival series ever! If you want a more wholesome survival series, go watch Gilligan's Island.

After seeing the last show I feel they have gone to far. Makes me sick. Done watching. MKL&ML

TWD has not been a good show since season 3.
Season 4 was the downhill turn and i stopped watching after that season.
Fear the walking dead is so much more exciting. It too will be stale by season 4.
That is what happens with most shows like this. They just get repetitive after 3 or 4 seasons and lose quality of story.
The only people i know who still watch "the walking dead" are people who do it out of habit despite them admitting it isnt still interesting.

@NoGods,NoMasters You've said the same thing on other shows, "no intelligent thinking." Not ALL entertainment should require "intelligent thinking". Don't be such a BORE.
The Walking Dead is an amazing show and aims for the shock factor. Rick, Darryl, and Glenn are my fav chars. I'll only be truly disappointed if one of them goes. Rick most likely won't go, since he's the star in the show, AND the comic book.

I love this show, and the only reason I would ever want to see it cancelled is so my daughter would watch Z-Nation. She says one zombie show at a time, even between seasons she'd rather wait. The characters keep me coming back, even though Rick is starting to appear one dimensional lately, he's kind of dead inside. It would be nice to see him make a nearly full recovery; of course, then they'd have to kill him. (sigh). Some people think you don't need intelligence to watch this show...heheh. That's alright, we all know they'd be the first to go. Yes, the walkers don't have many brains; but, other than representing the marching morons, for the most part; like it would be in any apocalyptic scenario, man would still be his own worst enemy. When will they ever learn? Cooperation is the key to quality survival.

this is TV's most popular show. You would think that they would do a season of 22 instead of 16 eps. after all the main stars will eventually want to leave. you could continue on without them though. I do say this also. NOT everyone needs to die. they can go somewhere and leave and most people are still aound. Or Eastman could have survived etc. but I am glad it's coming back.

@ Sabrina...There really cannot be Zombies which are supposedly rotting humans. The more they try to walk or run, their hips would disintegrate and they would become crawlers. Using their arms would mean their shoulders would disintegrate. Now they are just another 1'st base, etc. in a field of 1'st bases. It's just a TV show with writers and actors...that's all.
