A crime thriller following a former CIA agent who is hired by a mysterious billionaire who has a state-of-the-art machine that predicts future crime victims.
Reese is a presumed-dead ex-CIA agent who teams up with a mysterious billionaire named Finch. Together they are on a mission to prevent violent crimes using their own brand of justice.
Reese is trained in covert operations and Finch is a software genius who invented a program that uses special pattern recognition to identify people about to be involved in violent crimes. Together, they work outside the law and unravel the mystery of the 'person of interest' and stop each crime before it happens.

Rumor has it that CBS is not going further with this show. They even refuse to tell anyone when they will broadcast the un-aired episodes remaining in the current season. Too bad! The show was well done, but the direction went severely downhill when the producers killed off Detective Carter (Taraji P. Henson). Plus . . . The inability of the good guys (the Machine) to stand up against the bad guys (Samaritan) leaves the currently dangling mid-season ending a woeful disappointment.

I love P of I as a Marine from Vietnam Era I find Reece's fighting skills with his unique compassion very moving. I hate to see it cancelled. The previous episodes do not hold interest for me as I have seen them all.

Have seen several websites saying that POI won't be back for Season 5 until 2016 - and then for only 13 episodes... many of these sites are also suggesting that Season 5 will be the last. Spoilers have it that Shaw will be back, but don't give many details. Root & Finch will engage one another - with Rood being on the verge of destroying humanity. How could you not possibly want a show like this to go on far more than 5 seasons?

So glad the show continues. The enemy can't be allowed to win when we know good always triumphs over evil. I so enjoy the series.

Person Of Interest is coming to Netflix! All the past seasons will be available September 1st. Love POI? Than absolutely plan on watching it, cause we need to give it a ton of love ;) and maybe they'll buy it from CBS, so if they cancel we won't lose it. :)

Here in England we are just coming to the end of Season 3 - I have watched the show since first episode - love the concept - something different - no swearing or overt sex!! - just good- strong storylines - losing Detective Carter was such a shock - and Reese' reaction to his loss was overwhelming - Jim Caviezel is a fantastic actor - very underrated - knocks the socks off of some of the so-called actors around today! - looking forward to Season 4 - keep up the good work.

They need to wrap up the Samritan thing. Jennifer Gardiner was in Alias where they got on Ramadi kick that became silly and fantasy after awhile.

Root is one of the best Parts of the Show. So Glad it got renewed for Season 5. Really Want Shaw Back. However Samaritan is really starting to annoy me, it's been 2 years. End Samaritan this season please. Want to see more of Control great character.
