A drama following a man caught between two realities.
Since his car accident, detective Michael Britten's mind has created two realities in which his wife survived in one and his son survived in the other. At any given moment, he is not sure if he is awake or asleep - one minute he's awake with his wife, and at the blink of an eye he is awake with his son. With people in both realities assuring him he is not dreaming, he must now try and find out which reality - if any - is real.

Again, NBC (No Brain Channel) comes through. Get hooked on a quality show, you can bet your bippy it'll spiral the drain by the end of the season. Unless, of course, it's a reality or dancing show. Or some other form of lame-brained so-called entertainment. Great show but, like I said, those are the ones that bite the dust. So, my advice, don't get hooked.

I guess I'd expect nothing less from a network that allowed Jay Leno to force Johnny Carson into retirement and then booted Conan to bring back the lowest common denominator of hack comedy. You know what, Dish Network? Don't bother trying to bring NBC back to your programming. We don't need it.

Awake was truly wonderful show that kept you thinking and involved during the whole show. Not surprised it was cancelled though because most people do not have the intellectual curiousity of a gnat. Another BIG mistake Nbc. You have no clue. Walking away to a good book.

Great job NBC! Maybe you can come up with another stupid copy cat reality show? Let me think, how about a So You Think You Can Dance meet The Voice and just for fun do it on an island where every week you get voted off, after competing in a series of things you need to escape from. And we can all vote from home LIVE on the winner! Seriously, another good show gone. Too bad.

don't understand why this show was cancelled? Hate to sound like most of the comments here, but it's frustrating to accept that such a smart show is gone from tv?? such quality programming is hard to find .

This was an amazing show, why would it be canceled when so many people are hooked on it?! Please reconsider, or let another network pick it up!
