The hit series shows no signs of slowing down.
October 29, 2013
AMC announced today that hit series The Walking Dead has been renewed for a fifth season. The news comes two weeks after the horror drama's fourth-season premiere delivered record ratings with 20.2 million viewers (live + 3). Of those, 13.2 million were in the adults 18-49 demographic, which also set a record for any non-sports cable telecast.
The announcement also confirmed that new showrunner Scott Gimple will be returning for Season 5.

Woohoo!!! The cast and production staff on this show are awesome.....most major zombie films don't look this good. I was shocked at the season 4 finale! Wow.....

I hope season 5 gets these people back on the move. Season 3 with that whole governor and town and Rick and everyone just hanging out in the jail was horrible. Like watching a captured zombie decompose.

I am the most boring person ever I just dozed off watching my hand

Alex, yes I heard of it just before I DOZED OFF trying to watch it. By far the most boring show on TV. Why Mad Men gets any acclaim is beyond me. Mad Men may as well be a radio melodrama.

The producers have stepped up the zombie count. I've never seen so many zombies. It just keeps getting better and better. The Walking Dead will be around for a while.

Was there any doubt? AMC has nothing but this since the conclusion of Breaking Bad.

This season has brought the show back to where it was when it first kicked off..."showing no signs of slowing down". I couldn't say that last season. It was getting way too repetitive.
Glad to see another season is planned. Keep us guessing!

Best show on TV by far! Looking forward to the rest of this season, season 5 and beyond. This show can and will go as far as the creators and actors want it to. Hell yeah!
