The veteran horror series will continue in 2020.
October 5, 2019
Today's New York Comic Con panel for The Walking Dead delivered some good, albeit obvious, news for the series in the form of a pickup for Season 11. Showrunner Angela Kang made the announcement, which comes just a day ahead of the post-apocalyptic horror drama's 10th season premiere.
The long-running series continues to rank as one of cable television's top scripted series, though its current audience numbers are far from what they were in its heyday. To paint a picture, viewership in Season 9 was pulling in numbers similar to what it was drawing way back in Season 1, before it gained 'hit' status.
It was also announced today that Lauren Cohan will making a return to the show in Season 10, bringing fan-favorite character Maggie Greene back into the fold. The news was somewhat expected, as the series Cohan left The Walking Dead to pursue, Whiskey Cavalier, was cancelled after its first season.

I still watch however I can't give a good reason why. I did like seeing the zombies used as a renewable energy resource this season with four of them endlessly pushing a wheel around to get to some meat on a stick in front of them. That was a new creative idea...something both series lack in general.

So you don't like it? I do. I still watch it and so DO many people. Your opinion is just yours. It has high ratings for the network and so does it's spinoff. BAD Ratings cancel shows , not your opinion. Supernatural made 15 seasons and I loved every season of it. This one however is not as good as it was a few seasons back imo. But it still is very good often. The comics move much more slowly than this show did. So complaints about action don't matter to those of us who read the comics.

I am with Love_Texas. Season after season its the same thing. A new villain every season, lots of fighting and then a new season. I stopped watching Fear also. I just don't care anymore.

This show has been DEAD MAN WALKING for so long... It should have ended years ago. I checked out about 4-5 years ago. Never got into the prequel, or the Talking Dead. I guess this is what happens when you have hundreds of channels and thousands of shows.
