It is being reported that Dexter will be ending after this upcoming season, its eighth. CBS Corporation President, Les Moonves, broke the news himself during a Q&A session today at Deutsche Bank's 2013 DbAccess Media and Telecom Conference. Showtime, Dexter's cable home, is a subsidiary of CBS Corporation.

"broke the news .. today" as if this is new lol.. I heard last summer about 7 or 8 months ago that it was ending after season 8, straight from showtime.

Mike, I hate to break it to you, but apparently, you ARE a prude. My parents - both teachers and lifelong Republicans in their late 60s - love Dexter. As you say, one is entitled to one's opinion, so here is mine. Judging by your misspellings, grammatical errors, and the like, I would guess you are either not a native speaker, an inbred hick, or are not as intelligent as I. Good luck learning the language in the few years you have left on this planet. I'm pretty sure that I know from whence the problem comes.

Wardy you are right. Why do people have to go to the extreme. This show does, and if only one teen with mental issues looks at this show and thinks what Dexter is doing is ok, then that proves my point. Warped and not acceptable way to live your life. Remember I said many of you think the show is ok, we are all entitled to our opinion. MKL

i saw some episodes of season 1 i havent really followed up i dont have showtime since they repeat the same stuff over and over anyhow i will have to get the seasons on dvd and hopefully they make a movie out of dexter how about dexter vs jack bauer ;D

I have really enjoyed this show, but all good things must come to an end. At least they will be able to give it a proper ending, since the producers know that Season 8 is the last one.

Love the show but after getting Debra involved and everyone is finding out--it's time for it to end. We know Dex won't be cured...I bet he dies at the end of the series and Debra leaves the force or dies too.
