I love this show!! It's very entertaining and so funny!! This family is hilarious. This "jewish" family can be any family who lived in the 80s. This family is us -- and we're African-American :)

WOW! This is an AWESOME show, my teenagers can't wait until this is on, it is a GREAT family show...it is great that we have a DVR, because we have to rewind so much because we are LAUGHING so hard!!! Every episode is so spot on from the 80s. I do agree that it is geared more for the 40s and up crowd; but my kids see us (their parent) in the parents of the show and that makes us laugh even harder!!! Thanks ABC for bringing back family programming! This is truly a family show, with no sex ed afterwards! Thanks again!!!

Why are people posting commments about this show reflecting the Jewlish population? This show is about the true life events of the young boy and recordings of his family growing up in the 80's. i have never once seen anything about a "Jewish" family in the 80's. Stupid. I'm not jewish and the events in this show have so many connections when I was growing up in the 80's.

love this show. anyone recognized the older son from the tenacious d movie? i love the comparison to the real dad at the end of the show. he seems to be really scary but they still mock him all the time.
someone said here it's also for people who aren't jewish. funny, i did not recognize any religious stuff in the show. couldnt tell what confession they are, but maybe because i dont really care about that stuff.
i'm also in my mid twenties and not like someone says it's made for an older generation. i don't have a brother or a sister so i always like it so see siblings fight and get along and stick together in the end..

I've told so many of my friends and family to watch this show and they all love it. It's funny and heartwarming. Good work by all the actors. So glad it got a season.

This show may be not pull a twenty something but this 40 something crowd is pleased. It is nice having something on TV that is not over the top foul we can relate to.

I suppose if you had an overprotective Jewish mother you could relate to this show.... I guess. All I see are flashbacks to trends in the late 80s. They can bring a grin to the face, but in the end won't keep the show alive. I don't know how many Jewish families were like this in the 80s... and therefore I can't say how large a demographic this show might interest. But from my perspective, this isn't a very realistic 80s family at all. Seems this aims at the wrong generation/demographic. After all, is anyone 22 going to "get" this show? The amusing bits are for those 40+ years old.
