This show sucks! The dad is a horrible over-actor and the kid can't act. It's just cliche after cliche. I lived in the 80s and this is way over the top. Cancel,it.

Sure it's a lot more over the top and has more spoof quality than The Wonder Years but we're also comparing the 60's to the 80's in that case. For my money this is one of the few shows I just won't miss. I watch it with my sons and tell them about being a kid in the 80's. It's a true quality family sitcom, cast to near perfection. Give it a few seasons to grow and it could be a classic.

Good news. I think is a good serie. I hope have several seasons as the old comedies and we saw grow up and evolve the character. Yes, I also live the real tapes at the end.

it's had a positive start.. the stories seem strong with good humor (and i like the family based on real life tie ins occasionally at the end) here's hoping that the 80's humor can hold past 1 season
