The Vampire Diaries spin-off gets its back nine.

The CW has picked up a full season of The Originals, ordering nine additional episodes of the new drama. The spin-off of The Vampire Diaries premiered in October and has garnered solid ratings for the network over its first six episodes.

Best show the CW has by far. Only problem is now i find VD BORING without Claus, Elijah & Rebekah .... Please get those vampires on VD out of college.....please. all they have to do is compel the Dean to give them a diploma.....really. if i was a vampire last place i would be Is in school......think about it.

against the other seasons of vampire diaries i wouldn't say this was a very strong season. But up against this season i am finding The Originals a lot more entertaining to watch

An awesome show, love New Orleans, Rebekkah is hot! Just think 1000 years for world's oldest vampires may be a little too young (in comparison with True Blood or Ann Rice) =)

The Originals is a big step up from VD. Great show. What is up with Vampire Diaries? It has become the most convoluted show on TV! Thumbs up to Reign and Tomorrow People. Why don't the networks cancel the song and dance nonsense and put some more supernatural shows on? Reality TV? I get enough reality every day without having to tune in for more...

The CW.. where CBS and Time-Warner send horrible shows that they know people with half a brain will avoid. Nice of them to cluster all the "crap watching" into one channel so you can simply never turn to that channel.

Just no more staking Elijah please!!! He's the only reason I watch the show.
