The new hit drama will return for Season 2.

NBC announced today that freshman series The Blacklist has been renewed for a second season. The drama, which stars James Spader, is the network's top new show of the 2013-2014 season. It also currently ranks as broadcast television's #1 drama in the 18-49 demographic.
22 episodes have been ordered for Season 2 of The Blacklist for next fall. The current season is now on a mid-season break until January 2014.
UPDATE: Season 2 of The Blacklist premieres on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 10:00pm.

I am hooked on this show. I love James "style" in this show. Made me want to just have a Blacklist marathon on netflix-which now i'm thru all the shows and bumming because no new ones to watch.

Manny Don't even get me started on Awake or Do no Harm, What were they thinking or rather not thinking, any way that was a rant for another show.... Love this Show, always dig Spader from Flatliners his pure genius!!! So Glad another one of my shows got a 2nd...

Excellent show. Spader does a perfect " Red " Really excited for the return after the BORING olympics.

I loved to hate James Spader since Less Than Zero. But after Boston Legal, I love his acting style, and no longer hate it at all, just love it. I love this show and he is the secret to the recipe for this hit.

How can you 'love to hate' Red (or Spader)? His character is amazing! I can't even put into words an argument because he's so awesome.

I agree with several others here. James Spader's Red is the guy you love to hate. His dead-pan style in this role is perfect. Kudos to the rest of the cast as well. I would love to see more Parminder Nagra, I always had a thing for her lol....

My wife and I both can't stand James Spader and that's why we love this show. He is an actor that we love to hate, so it's a perfect role for him. I hope that NBC doesn't cancel this one prematurely like they did with "Awake" and "Do No Harm", two really good shows.

James Spader makes the show and he has great chemistry with Megan. The other characters are a bit boring for me. Glad its back in January and he is her father lol!
