The long-running drama will continue in 2020-2021.

NBC announced today that The Blacklist has been picked up for an eighth season. The good news comes midway through Season 7, which will return from its winter break on March 20. Currently sitting at an impressive 143 total episodes, the show will hit the 150 milestone by this season's finale.
Led by James Spader, the series premiered in 2013 as one of the top new shows of that year. While its best days have long-since passed, the show still draws a decent audience in its Friday night time slot.
The Blacklist stars Spader as an ex-government agent-turned-FBI's most wanted fugitive, who mysteriously surrenders himself to the agency with an offer to help them bring down some of the country's top criminals. The only condition is that he gets to work alongside an FBI profiler named Elizabeth Keen, which leads to a twisting series of events that slowly reveal his true motives.

Brandon, I agree! Especially considering how long the show has been on the air. I've been really enjoying the current season and don't find it stale at all.

Not sure how so many people who watch the show are tired of it, I suggest you dont watch anymore than. I, however, as well as family and friends still LOVE this show! I look forward to every new season and love the entire cast (especially Spader, what a job he does as Redd) I hope The Blacklist keeps going towards 200 episodes

This is a show that just begs for an ending. They just keep introducing one plot twist after another with each year they get renewed. It's become just as mangled as "Lost" was. Really, how much longer can they string out the relationship between Red and Elizabeth? How much longer can the FBI unit continue to go rogue without permanent repercussions? You think all these issues are settled and then the show gets renewed and they have to come up with another twist.

I used to be fan and I hate to say it but I really wish show would end so James Spader can do something else. Ratings have dropped because creators of show moved on right after the first season to create other shows, maybe that's normal in hollywood but seems like leaving a show on auto pilot and sometimes it works out ok and sometimes it doesn't. Ever since the actress playing Liz got pregnant in real life the storyline has suffered. They even killed her off and brought her back!!! Than they started baby kidnapping drama for way too many episodes. It just seems like a slow drama instead of what it used to be. Honestly if they got rid of Liz character and went back to the shows namesake "Black List" I would watch live again. They should rename "Liz's Personal Problems"

I agree, this show was so much better when they followed a case every week, so tired of the baby daddy drama. I really don't care anymore who liz's dad is or if reddington is reddingtion.

OK, but they need to have some answers coming. I don't want this show to turn out like that colossal waste of time "Lost."

I've been watching Blacklist since the beginning, but eve i'm like how? It's time to give this a proper ending and send it on it's way. I don't want to see this show go the way of Redemption.

Red and Dembe for the win!! They are the only reason why I continue watching this show with the convoluted main storyline. I wish they would have just stuck to the featured blacklist person each week instead of the "is he or isn't her father &/or who is the real Red"

Kinda thought we were hitting the finish line . . . But if it means more Ray and Dembe . . . I AM DOWN!!!

I really thought last season (6) would be the end. But WOW it is blowing me away this season! Looking forward to its return in March.
