CBS announced today that Blue Bloods has been renewed for a fifth season in 2014-2015. The police drama continues to be ratings winner for the network in its time period.
Today's announcement included renewals of 17 other primetime shows for next season. Dramas receiving pick-ups today include NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, The Good Wife, Criminal Minds, Elementary, CSI, Hawaii Five-0, and Person of Interest.
UPDATE: Season 5 of Blue Bloods will premiere on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 10:00pm.

This season seems to have a lot of hints that the show won't be back for a seventh season. This is the best show on TV. Great story lines.

all southerners love this show!!!!for all family members, guess it`s not enough, "sex", or filthy words, or nudity in it, for the big screens<:><((((((~~~~~sad, boycott, Christians, stand up for the "right".....and shun, the "wrong".....in JESUS name, amen!!!!! <3

AFTER WE WATCH IT. ON SUNDAY WHEN ALL MY BROTHER'S AND SISTER GET TOGETHER WITH OUR MOM + DAD. AND THE KIDS.

This is the best show on US TV. This is a real family show. The family's interaction with each other, the love, the way they stick together inspite of; it's something that's real. The way the siblings carry on as well as the respect of each sibling with regard to the family business, the dynamics are great! I hope a new season is picked up. Is there anything we can do to make sure there is more "Blue Bloods?"

Whatever happens - please, please tell me there will a Season 6. That is the only show (besides Hawaii Five-0) that I absolutely look forward to each night.
