CBS announced today that Blue Bloods has been renewed for a ninth season. The long-running Tom Selleck police drama has been a Friday night staple on the network, where it continues to garner consistently-healthy ratings deep into its run.
The series follows the Police Commissioner of New York, who runs his department in the same diplomatic manner he runs his family, even when dealing with the politics that plagued his father during his stint as Chief.
Season 9 of Blue Bloods will see the series approach the 200-episode milestone. While a standard 22-episode order will not quite get it there, an order of 23 episodes - which it received in Season 3 - will see it hit that mark.

Love Blue Bloods ,Can understand the pain Danny's going through 15 months ago my husband was killed ,somebody decided that his life wasn't worth going on so this person decided he had to Die ,I miss him every minute of every day ,So I can understand Danny's PAIN,, You NEVER GET OVER POSING SOMEONE You Love ,

Absolutely the Best show on television. Congrats to Jamie and Eddie..so glad they finally hooked up. But like so many of your other die heart fans, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, bring Linda back. She was the perfect balance for a family cops. Excited about the new season..

We have recorded Blue Blood on two different channels by mistake, and now all we see are the older ones, I would like to get back to only some fairly new ones, like since Linda died. What channel do you advise I use?

Can't get enough Blue bloods, I have watched all the reruns and record all old episodes. Can't wait for new show.
