The NBC drama will return for a final season.
May 11, 2014
NBC has renewed Parenthood for a sixth and final season. The critically-acclaimed drama has had a solid run since its premiere in 2010, drawing fairly consistent ratings and developing a loyal base of fans along the way.
The network has ordered 13 episodes to close out the show, and it will remain in its 10:00pm Thursday night time slot when it returns in the fall.
UPDATE: Season 6 of Parenthood premieres on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 10:00pm.

I wish NBC would've given us a full season. This doesn't shy away from real issues. I have cried my eyes out to so many episodes. At least we can wrap up the series. Seriously, one of the best shows on tv.

Love this show and wish it would continue for more than 13 more weeks. This show is well written covering all sorts of challenges that most families face i.e. cancer, Asperger's and love at all stages. Too bad that "trash" constantly knocks off quality programming.

I stopped watching after season 1, BORING. It is nothing like it's namesake (the movie Parenthood).

Parenthood is one of my favorite shows, and I am very happy to be able to continue watching the unfolding of the lives of the Bravermans. It is one of the few quality shows on TV with fabulous actors and actresses.

Thank you NBC for the additional 13 episodes of Parenthood. You have prematurely cancelled two of my favorite shows, "American Dreams" and "Friday Night Lights", which struggled with ratings as people rather watch garbage reality TV than good quality programs like Parenthood, FNL and American Dreams.
