really nothing special about this show. honestly it's just The George Lopez Show with a different minority.. father working his way up the company ladder despite his nationality, trying to keep his family grounded from becoming assimilated into society. even the annoying grandparent whose only purpose seems to be being over-opinionated. plus they really need to cut down on the narrating throughout the entire thing.

Its about time for a network to actually give a black comedy that is family based show. 22 episodes are only 30 min. How to get away with Murder has 15 because it is a hour that has an intricate plot.

I guess it's at least as good as The Goldbergs and The Middle. Good for them for getting a full order. *High fives Anthony Anderson* Bye.

Half hour vs. Hour shows and its a different genre (drama vs. Comedy).

Its all about the money... running time doubles for a hour drama (42 min). The 22 episodes of Black-ish like still cost less to produce than the 15 for How to get Away with Murder. The show also falls perfectly into their Wed. night comedy lineup addressing a missing ethnic component thereby drawing even more viewers and hopefully retaining more for Nashville at 10.

Why does Black-ick get a 22 eposide season while the much better How to Get Away With Murder only gets 15 episodes?
