Starz has renewed Black Sails for a third season. The drama, which premiered earlier this year, does not begin Season 2 until this coming January. If the show's production schedule sticks to one season each year, Season 3 won't premiere until 2016.

So excited!! This show is nothing short of awesome. If you dont like it then why care or bother to comment. MANY shows are renewed before the forthcoming season begins.

It's Starz... they stretch ANYTHING if it's getting ANY viewers. Season 1 was indeed mediocre... but.... more graphic violence and nudity may make it worth catching in the future. :)

Surprising. Season 2 is still 3 months away, and season 1 was mediocre at best.
