ABC has renewed Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a third season. The sophomore series will be airing its current season finale next Tuesday, May 12, capping a season that drew lower ratings from a year ago but remained at respectable levels.
Set in the same universe as popular Marvel franchises, the action drama has been able to tie in with major motion picture releases from the studio.
Look for Season 3 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to premiere in the fall.

Wish they would cancel this show. I like all the other marvel series and movies that they're doing but this show is just corny and boring. Phil Coulsen was a great supporting character in the movies but a whole tv series with him loses something. I'm guessing I'm not the only one who feels "forced" to whatch it due to some OCD idea that they don't want miss anything.

Of course they left season 2 with a cliff hanger. I am just glad it got renewed and I hope that they do the smart thing and end it with season 3. The ratings on these types of shows on major networks drop like bricks after the 2nd season. Hope they get to end the series in a finale instead of a cliff hanger.

... lost interest halfway through season 1. It was just a night time soap opera. And every time I've tuned in after that... it's the same over-dramatic soap opera acting.
