ABC has picked up Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a full first season, ordering nine additional episodes to top its total up to 22. The freshman action drama is off to a solid start for the network, performing well against its Tuesday night competition in the 8:00pm time slot through its first three episodes.

Was a little different in the beginning, then it picked up and is a great show to look forward to each week now, the problem with these shows is all the ratings are from people that reside in the US and shows stay on air based on how many people have their TV switched on to the said shows network at the time, the less people switched on the less ratings because these networks make money from advertising so if people aren't there to see the ads then they don't make money.

My Son (13 years old) and I have watched every episode together and he loves it. It's just OK for me, but he loves the adventure and superhero approach. I'm glad it's around for the season.

@GD where is your proof other than IMHO? It has ratings better than most shows on TV and has amazing week +7. You are just one of those "always negative" IMDB tards aren't you?

I like this show and I'm glad it's getting a full season. It doesn't take itself too seriously, and it's a good escape from reality. I just hope there's more continuity between episodes in the future. I prefer continuing storylines in a show like this.

I love how people try to justify a cancellation or pick up based on their own little criteria or needs. They can't accept that people like a show that they don't. And if this show they hate gets more viewers than the poor little showy they like. It's a conspiracy or scandal.

Disney owned channel or not. The ratings are very high. I did not care MUCH FOR THE FIRST SHOW OR THE SECOND. The third was good so I will keep watching. I am a retired American living in the Philippines and load the shows here. Do not have to worry about conflicting times when two good shows are competing with each other.

Well considering this is a Disney product on a Disney owned channel did anyone really expect it to be canceled? If the show sucked it wouldn't get canceled. There is a huge bias for this series. to be honest it is just okay but I don't see myself watching it past season 1. The characters all seem stale and Agent Colson just seems like a joke to the whole series. They ruined him in this series compared to the movie franchises.
