The veteran comedy will end after Season 6.
December 13, 2015
According to co-star Rondi Reed, Mike & Molly has been cancelled at CBS. Reed recently posted a statement on Facebook indicating that the long-running comedy's upcoming sixth season will be its last. She also confirmed that Season 6 will be 13 episodes in length, making it the show's first ever shortened season.
Mike & Molly has enjoyed a lengthy run since its premiere in 2010, airing over 100 episodes during that time. Ratings have always been fairly solid and consistent, and while its numbers dipped in recent years, they still remained respectable.
Season 6 of Mike & Molly is scheduled to premiere on January 6.

What a shame. This show was hilarious the first couple of seasons, but then they changed it to revolve around Molly and changed the style of the show and they ruined it. I absolutely love Melissa McCarthy and her antics in movies, but they should have left Mike & Molly the way it was. I hate when something works and some TV executive thinks they can make it even better and screw it up. If it works, leave it alone!!

Personally I don't mind the show - it isn't spectacular, but it's feel good telly. I'd expect that this has very little to do with ratings or what the viewers want and rather more to do with the busy schedules of the cast (or more specifically Melissa McCarthy).
I suspect that there is a lot more money / prestige to be made from movies for her and so the TV show had to give.
As for the Supergirl haters - it's good for the very same reasons that it is awful - it is cheesy, predictable and doesn't take itself too seriously. Remind me of "The New Adventures of Superman" from the 90s with Dean Cain.

The problem I have with the show is how could a teacher and a cop not be able to afford a place of their own? Why do they have to be living with Mike's mother?

I'm so shocked and devastated!! I love this show.

Thank GOD The show wasn't fun at all. Ripped off jokes and Melissa McCarthy is not funny at all. Another hack comedian that got famous but other stand up comedian that is 1000 times funnier and can't catch a break

I just couldn't get into this show even though I loved Melissa in Gilmore Girls.
But I don't understand the Supergirl hate. I'm enjoying the show a lot. If it's not your cup of tea I get that, but it doesn't need to be bashed so much. I guess I just don't understand where people are coming from.

Honestly I am not surprised at all I think Melissa McCarthy wants to start focusing more on film rather then a tv show. I personally did not like where they were taking it when she started writing the book I just felt like it wasn't funny anymore.

I use to always watch cbs but all they are doing is cancelling the good shows and putting on stupid shows. Thinking I will just stop watching it all together!
