ABC has renewed Dancing with the Stars for two more cycles next season, which will take it to Season 26. Once one of the network's flagship performers, the celebrity dance competition still brings in a healthy and consistent level of viewership. With no signs of slowing down, the series looks to maintain its rank as one of ABC's longest-running prime time staples for some time to come.
Contrary to speculation that the show might scale back to only one cycle next season due to the revival of American Idol, Dancing with the Stars will be keeping the status quo with a fall cycle in 2017 followed by a spring cycle in 2018.

It's all about the dancing for me. I don't care about the celebrity status of the stars, most of the time I don't know who they are.
But the fun is with taking people with little or no dance experience and seeing how accomplished some of them become over the season. They could just grab people off the street for all I care.

I his show needs to b called dancing with the "c" list celebrity now! There hasn't been a star on this show for quite a few seasons now!!
