The competition series will continue in 2018-2019.
March 13, 2018
ABC announced today that Dancing with the Stars has been renewed for a 27th season. The network's former flagship series has remained a reliable performer after 13 years on the air, still often managing to best other unscripted competition in its time slot during its most recent season.
The good news comes the month before the celebrity dance competition kicks off its 26th season, which premieres on Monday, April 30 with an all-athletes edition for the first time in the show's history.
As for Season 27, look for a premiere in the fall as part of the 2018-2019 television season.

I really like host Erin Andrews. She endured a lot and has shown great strength and class. She does a fabulous job on DWTS.
And ... Thank You to ismyshowcancelled.com ... the problem appears to have been fixed!

@Steven S: Yeah! EVERY one of your boxes is filled in now. Actually, the people who like dancing would like to watch dancing theory does make sense, but for my family it doesn't apply. I would like to be able to dance so that might be it. The only time I have ever been comfortable dancing would have been during my college days that included alcohol.
Being a MAJOR swimming family, I was quite hesitant when Ryan Lochte went on DWTS. He was uncomfortable to watch though I did like it when people rallied around him to protect him from boos. It just wasn't the place for that.
I really don't know why DTWS works for me given that in general I am strongly anti reality shows. The dances are short enough so the boring ones pass quickly. They put together packages about the contestants that over time make me care. The silliness can be humorous at times. As I said earlier, I only watch on delay to skip commercials. I enjoy some of the costumes given the hard work with tight deadlines that go into them. It certainly takes my mind off all the seriously depressing stuff going on in the world. I guess I do know why I like it after all. :)

Thanks for stepping in Phillip! If I have anything more to add, I will use the email address. (So I hope ismyshowcancelled.com reads this.) All I think I need to say is that this problem should have absolutely nothing to do with the delay for pending approval function. PEOPLE ARE SEEING AN EMPTY BOX WITH ONLY THE USERNAME OF THE POSTER BUT THERE IS NO CONTENT. For example, on the new Scientology renewed page: if I view it with my iPhone, my post has no content, only my name, AND the post there above mine from Alex F. is the same - name only, no text. However, I can see the content from my iPad. For me, post contents are probably only missing when viewed from the iPhone. Maybe they’re not missing where posted from an iPhone - who knows. And they’re not always missing anyway. And it’s not just me either. There is a problem here. Thanks - I’m done working on it - please tell the programmer to fix it.

@Steve.
The system is designed so that 'pending comments' are only seen by the original poster on the browser/device on which it was posted.
If you post a comment on your iPad and will not be visible on your iPhone and by other site users until it has been approved. Approval may take several hours.
If you wish to discuss this further, please send a message through the contact form leaving an e-mail address by which you can be contacted.

The text below is from the previous post I made from an iPad. Right after that post, I made another post from my iPad on the new Scientology renewal page. Switching to my iPhone, the text (of the earlier post) on this page is NOT displayed (although visible on the iPad), but the text of the Scientology post IS displayed on the iPhone. So the symptoms are inconsistant. Also, the iPad has been recently updated with the latest (minor) update and the iPhone is a couple major OS's behind. THIS has been posted from my iPhone.

@Suzanne - whether one likes DWTS or not probably has everything to do with whether one likes to watch dancing. If I liked dancing, I’ll bet I’d like it.
Regarding posts not displaying: It’s because the site made a recent change to their code but probably did not test it on enough devices. Often this means that there is an error in the code but it just happens to work anyway on many (or most) systems. My own posts are visible to me on my tablet only, but not on my phone. I HOPE THE SCREENER READS THIS AND REPORTS IT!
What we like about the discussions here are the security and privacy and convenience that the lack of logging in gives us. All of these are huge plusses. Having a smallish number of fellow contributors also provides for some familiararity and intimacy you do not get when you are one of a hundreds. The contributors here are on the increase. Let’s keep it working,

My family and I fall into the "stupid American public." I actually enjoy this show - as long as I watch it on time delay and can skip commercials. It doesn't make a bit if difference to me that the so called celebrities have varying motives for being there and are often people I have never heard of. After a few weeks, the packets put together on each contestant give me enough interest to care about the outcome.
.
I do think that the show would be better if it only aired one cycle per television season. There are very few "reality" shows that I will give a single minute of my time to, but I for one am glad this got renewed.
.
@Steve S. It is showing up blank for me. What where you trying to write? I'm guessing this is one show we won't have similar opinions on! :)
