CBS announced today that Blue Bloods has been renewed for a ninth season. The long-running Tom Selleck police drama has been a Friday night staple on the network, where it continues to garner consistently-healthy ratings deep into its run.
The series follows the Police Commissioner of New York, who runs his department in the same diplomatic manner he runs his family, even when dealing with the politics that plagued his father during his stint as Chief.
Season 9 of Blue Bloods will see the series approach the 200-episode milestone. While a standard 22-episode order will not quite get it there, an order of 23 episodes - which it received in Season 3 - will see it hit that mark.

Can donny wahlberg fulfill his season 9 roll in blue bloods whilst he is on a long and extended live tour with the famous boy band named...new kids on the block....sincere congradulations if he is able to handle and balance these in harmony...today is july 14 at 4.20 a.m.

I am so looking forward to Season 9. I just hope they open with a wedding. And my favorite Reagan? DANNY? OMG, I want him to find a new wife.

I wish the new season would start with viewers getting to see Jaime & Eddie's wedding! We've all waited so long for the proposal that it would be great to see the wedding. Viewers never got to see an ending for Danny's wife dying in a helicopter crash transporting a patient. No closure for viewers on her death. My husband & I love the show & also record every episode to be able to watch again! I hope they send Erin's daughter somewhere so I don't have to see her know-it-all attitude all the time!

Wild real world truly me full of sad bad things going on this time it's nice to see when you're in fantasy world Danny and Eddie make so many people happy do not cancel the show keep it going great job to the Blue Bloods crew
