The long-running procedural will return this fall.
May 12, 2018
CBS announced today that Criminal Minds has been renewed for a 14th season. Despite its advanced age, the veteran procedural drama continues to be a reliable entry in the eye network's lineup.
Today's pickup will see the series reach the 300-episode milestone when it returns this fall. And while Criminal Minds has stood the test of time, its spin-offs have yet to prove their lasting power. 2011's Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior was short-lived, and 2016's Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders lasted just two seasons.

I'm so glad that Criminal Minds got renewed for a season 14. This and Blue Bloods are the only shows that I love watching and neither disappoint me. Criminal Minds is still one of the best shows ever and I'm can't wait until season 14 premieres and I'm so glad that Criminal Minds is reaching their 300th milestone episode.

I'm glad CM was renewed, but I resent showrunners that leave cliffhangers without renewals already in place. Do cliffhangers actually make it more likely for viewers to come back anyway? Who remembers or cares that many months later?
