The veteran procedural will say good-bye next year.
January 10, 2019
It was announced today that Criminal Minds has been renewed for what will be its 15th and final season. CBS has ordered 10 episodes for the long-running procedural's swan song, which will be its shortest season to-date.
A continually-solid performer in the network's prime time lineup, the series has had an impressive run, reaching the 300-episode milestone earlier this season. When all is said and done, its 324 total episodes will be matched by very few scripted series.

Well I became hooked on Criminal Minds back in @2011 or so and was watching repeats and fell in love with the show. The started watching the new seasons and found it intriguing. Always looked forward to the new season. So now very saddened that’s it’s coming to an end. I will definitely miss new episodes but still hooked on all the old seasons also. So to the other Criminal Minds fans can say it’s a bummer to see the final season but will be intrigued to see how it all ends. P.S. will miss my favorite part, Dr Reed .....

I am very disappointed that the show is ending. Its my all time favorite show and have watched since Season 1. I think Hotch and Morgan leaving the show hurt the show tremendously. Although, Alvez, Simmons and Lewis are an asset to the show and I love the characters, Hotch and Morgan really were missed when they left/

Well, it's about time. It suffered the same fate as long-running shows like CSI. Too many primary actors left and, I suspect, too many of the creatives behind the show also left. It was forced to keep reinventing itself due to forces outside of the show's storyline. After awhile it just became arbitrary. I stopped watching probably five seasons ago.

Loved this show since season one, like most feel it hasn't been the same without Hotch and Morgan. The two new characters I just haven't been able to get behind and root for or care about for some reason. With that said, still love the show, love Rossi, Prentiss and especially love the characters Reid and my very favorite JJ. I am very glad they will be able to do a proper ending of this show and hope AJ (and the others) will get to do a different entertaining show very soon!

Having followed this series through it's entire run, I have to say that, although I have always enjoyed it (and still do), maybe it is time. 15 years is an unbelievable run for any show. And although I still sometimes wonder if the script-writers shouldn't be put on a "watch-list" with the twisted, creepy things that they still manage to come up with, it is starting to get a bit tired. Just as long as they don't replace it with yet another sit-com, or yet another reality show. If they're going to end what has been a great crime procedural, hopefully they will try to find something akin to that to replace it with.

I love the show, but felt it is time. Spencer the last few seasons has been mainly absent. The story lines were getting a little dull or repetitive feeling. End on a good note.
