No Season 4 for the medical drama.

It looks like the current season of Code Black will be its last, as CBS has opted not to bring the medical drama back for Season 4. Word came from showrunner Michael Seitzman, who broke the sad news to his Twitter followers overnight.
The decision to cancel the series comes four episodes into the current third season, which premiered in April as a mid-season entry. The show was previously on the network's regular fall schedule for its first two seasons, but never really found a sizeable audience. Both of its past renewals came as last-minute decisions, but it looks like the network already knows what it wants to do this time around.
Inspired by an award-winning documentary, Code Black takes place in the busiest emergency room in the country. The term refers to when there are more patients than personnel or resources to treat them all, which occurs an alarming 300 days a year. The outstanding staff of this notoriously overcrowded and understaffed ER work to protect their patients and their ideals by confronting a challenged system that pushes them to their limits.

Show started out great, but after just watching a few episodes this season we stopped recording it....what happened to the writing, let alone the casting....such a strong show and suddenly it became unwatchable with the musical numbers, the horrible narration for the "special" episode, so this just seemed inevitable.

I. Hate. To. Hear. This. I love this show. The characters and the dynamics between them is phenomenal. Please reconsider this cancellation. The actors that make of this cast are outstanding.

This is disappointing news, all the characters and cast gelled together instantly.
I will miss Moma and Papa.
You can tell there's a problem though, when they feel the need to explain what CODE BLACK means at the beginning of a show, even in the middle of Season 3....as in... yeah we've got it already.
Killing characters off, Rob Lowe love interest, surgrey and ER politics, just not enough for the ratings people. However the idiot with the camera in S3 can go and will not be missed.

I always watch this show right away, it's one of my favorites. This has great story lines, acting and can convey true emotion. I think that CBS is make a big mistake cancelling this one.

Maybe if they hadn’t canned two great actors after season one, and brought in Rob “overrated” Lowe, the show could have had a much longer run.

Another great show and one of my favorites with a great cast!
