No Season 4 for the medical drama.

It looks like the current season of Code Black will be its last, as CBS has opted not to bring the medical drama back for Season 4. Word came from showrunner Michael Seitzman, who broke the sad news to his Twitter followers overnight.
The decision to cancel the series comes four episodes into the current third season, which premiered in April as a mid-season entry. The show was previously on the network's regular fall schedule for its first two seasons, but never really found a sizeable audience. Both of its past renewals came as last-minute decisions, but it looks like the network already knows what it wants to do this time around.
Inspired by an award-winning documentary, Code Black takes place in the busiest emergency room in the country. The term refers to when there are more patients than personnel or resources to treat them all, which occurs an alarming 300 days a year. The outstanding staff of this notoriously overcrowded and understaffed ER work to protect their patients and their ideals by confronting a challenged system that pushes them to their limits.

Great show. More true to life than any other medical drama. But I guess people like the idea of people screwing around all the time, like in the other med. shows instead of actual serious true med. shows. Too bad, really enjoyed this one..

Cancelling this show is pure idiocy. I'm so sick of every channel cancelling everything that isn't a cop show or reality TV! I hope someone else picks this up. Soon there won't been anything left to watch!

This is an amazing show! CBS makes me sick that is why I am going to stop watching network television and only watch cable. I hope someone else picks up this show and saves it because the cast is awesome.

In the uk there are good progs getting cancelled. But the amount of reality garbage is increasing.
We have one or two nights when there are cooking shows .baking shows people having dinner shows ans even one where people take bloody pictures.

My summer viewing just got sad. I look forward to this show every summer. Rob Lowe and Marcia Gay Hardin were a good match.

Netflix needs to pick up this series and run with it since CBS was dumb enough to cancel it. Great characters and good story lines.

I'm about to be done with tv all together, crap like this keeps happening and reality trash stays on, I can't stomach it

CBS does not know what they are doing. Great show, great cast and great stories. Have to say the one where everyone danced around was a little out of the norm, but every episode can't Ben great. They have a bunch of other shows that should be canceled. Hopefully someone else will pick it up.
