The mystery drama will return for Season 2.
April 15, 2019
NBC announced today that Manifest will be coming back for a second season. The good news arrives two months following the drama's freshman run, and will surely come as a relief to fans curious to get to the bottom of the show's over-arching mystery.
The hour-long series premiered last September as one of the fall's hottest shows. Through its first four weeks on the air, Manifest ranked as the season's most-watched and highest-rated new series. That strong momentum could not be sustained for the entirety of its run though, as its numbers came down to earth for the back-half of the season.
Manifest follows the passengers and crew of Montego Air Flight 828, which recently landed safely after being reported missing five years ago. To those aboard, though, it was just a typical flight with a bit of turbulence. With the returned passengers and crew back home, they now face a new reality with a second chance. But a deeper mystery starts to unfold as some of the returned realize they could be meant for something greater.
Look for Season 2 of Manifest this fall as part of the 2019-2020 television season.

My family and I really enjoy this show. It's sad that people like Edward L Gordon will watch 30 minutes of a show, then assume that the entire series is captured in that short amount of time. Honestly, I am a Christian, but I do not understand why you think this is about "God nonsense". They are actually using science to explain why it happened. They literally killed off the only "religious" person towards the end of the very first episode. Jesus loves you!!

Stopped watching in the middle of the first episode when I realized it was just thinly veiled God nonsense. Start preaching to me and im outta there with the quickness. Believers, please answer these questions to the best of your ability. Why do you believe in god? If your answer is "because the bible tells me so," then why do you believe that whats in the bible is true? If your answer is "because I have faith," they WHY do you have faith? Heres where its starts to dawn on some people that they may have been wasting their time, and others will just double down blindly and say something like, "I dont care. Nothings going to change my belief and im going to continue to believe....just because I believe." But guess what? That still doesnt prove ANY of that stuff is true and it doesnt matter how many people believe or how long they've believed. That untruth still remains an untruth.

I was steadily watching, then they put in on hold for a couple of weeks and I lost the momentum. I hate this new trend that the networks are doing with so many breaks in between episodes of shows. Since it did get renewed I guess I will go back and binge watch in the Summer.
