No Season 4 for the plane mystery drama.
June 14, 2021
It is being reported that NBC has cancelled Manifest after three seasons. The sad news comes just days after the mystery drama aired its now-final episode, which ended on a cliffhanger and, unfortunately for fans, left the show's main ongoing plotline unresolved.
The network's decision to end the series does not come as a complete surprise. Ratings have fallen off in the last couple of seasons, and it was on the bubble for renewal last year at this time as well. There had been hope for a possible Season 4, though, after the show shot to the top of the Netflix charts after its recent debut on the streaming service, but it appears its performance there did not do much to change any minds.
Shortly after the news broke, series creator Jeff Rake took to Twitter to express his disappointment that the show was axed halfway through his planned six-season arc. He thanked the fans, saying they deserve a proper ending, and also stated his intent to find a new home for the series.
Manifest follows the passengers and crew of Montego Air Flight 828, which recently landed safely after being reported missing five years ago. To those aboard, though, it was just a typical flight with a bit of turbulence. With the returned passengers and crew back home, they now face a new reality with a second chance. But a deeper mystery starts to unfold as some of the returned realize they could be meant for something greater.

I don't think I've watched a show like this in like six or more years. I already learned my lesson and know how easily these shows get cancelled. Sometimes I think the issue with these shows is that they do really well in the beginning so the network gives them more money and than they increase their budget and than when ratings settle which they almost always do, they get cancelled.

Not surprised by its cancellation. Show was really going nowhere. It's as if they filmed it with no idea what direction they wanted to take it, but just kept going anyway. Once the whole religious plot picked up, a few friends and colleagues of mine starting tuning out. I was more bothered by the constant use of the words "the callings." Made my teeth itch. Add that to the fact that I still find most of the cast, especially Michaela, completely unlikable and it was doubtful I would have watched another season anyway.

I liked the idea at first, then it just dragged on with no answers. Probably a good thing it's gone.

Take it over to TBN. Thats where this religious garbage belongs. You can all go play make believe over there away from everyone who realizes Gods dont exist.

In spite of being number one on Netflix last week , Netflix turned down a season four sealing the showsfate for good. I enjoyed all three seasons , the I will not watch a show until it gets a ending crowd are part of the problem. We had three solid seasons , you know few sci Fi shows go past one season , so after the first renewal it beat the odds. Debris was a good watch , siren gave me three good seasons, stickers two,any others just one. Gaging enjoyment on cancelation prospects is foolish when it comes to horror and sci Fi. Always assume cancelation is coming at any moment and just enjoy what you get.

Luckily i've gotten pretty good over the years of watching 1 or 2 episodes and predicting if a show will make it or not (regardless on if i like it or not). I watched 2 episodes of this and 1 episode of debris and decided not to invest until it gets an ending.
If Netflix picks up i'll start watching the rest of season 1 forward.

Well, there is a glimmer of hope at an ending, fingers crossed.

Good story, bad directing, actors only look surprised or concerned and with some of them you can't really tell the difference.
I watched all 3 seasons purely for the storyline and would like to know where it goes after this.
Main actor Josh Dallas as Ben Stone: very disappointing, but as said: GREAT story.

Well now I am SO glad I recorded all 12 episodes to see if any news would break on the series...after reading poor reviews of this season and not too fond of Season 2 myself - I get to clean-out 12 hours on my TiVo. Like others, I'm sick of investing myself in sci-fi shows and then they get canceled ("Debris" from this year is another example) so my plan is to TiVo the season before watching.
