CBS announced today that MacGyver has been picked up for a fourth season. The action-adventure series has continued to be a decent performer for the network in its Friday night time slot.
An update of the 1980s classic, the series was a surprise success for the network when it premiered in 2016. Initial expectations were decidedly low after an early panning by critics, but viewers have continued to tune in, helping CBS improve its time slot in both total viewers and the adults 18-49 demographic.
Look for Season 4 of MacGyver to premiere this fall as part of the 2019-2020 television season.

Got to figure out a way to bring back Jack......he makes the show. If shooting in Georgia is the problem move it closer to him.

Love this show, and also the Magnum P.I. remake. Ship Mac and Desi, and Magnum and Higgins. It would awesome if the did a crossover.

Nice, I love this show! A rare case of successfull remake, keeping the soul of the original with an added vibe of Mission: Impossible (the TV show, not the crappy movies).
