The franchise original is returning to television.
September 28, 2021
NBC is reviving a classic. The network announced today that Law & Order is coming back for a 21st season, with the news coming over 11 years after its series finale.
The flagship series premiered in 1990, going on to air 456 episodes across 20 seasons. It became known for following a two-part format, with the first portion of each episode focused on the investigation of a crime, and the second portion detailing its prosecution. The show has spawned a total of six spin-offs, two of which are currently on the air.
It is unclear if the revived Law & Order will premiere as a midseason entry during the current season, or if it will end up as a fall 2022 entry. When it does return, the show will continue where the original left off back in 2010. Official casting announcements have yet to be made.

Bobby is right. It appears Dick Wolf is a huge lib and is all about insulting half the country thinking thats completely ok. Just look at the latest FBI Most Wanted episode where they basically acted out some FBI manhunt for so-called "insurrectionists". Of course we arent supposed to know that there were FBI agents and informants in the crowd to agitate the mob on purpose.
Chris Meloni is a huge piece of crap if you read his twitter feed too.
I still like the characters though and the shows, I just dont like some of the writing and plots lately.

Just give Dick Wolf his own network. Maybe reshow the original episodes. I am done with L&O. Chicago PD is starting to lag. NBC should just try something new. HELL, any network try something new. Bring back Prodigal Son. Not a perfect show, but lots of fun with great acting. Hill Street Blues knew when to quit, so did NYPD BLUE. Again, I rant alone.....

Apparently Dick Wolf needs yet another vehicle to push the narrative. SVU has become nothing more than propaganda. I refuse to be ridiculed by people like Chris Meloni and then turn around and watch his show. We don't need any of them. There are plenty of old movies/shows. Pirate Bay all day.

So, they really have nothing to offer but tired old shows and clone spin offs

I welcome seeing this return and they should make room for it on the schedule by taking off the new Organized Crime entry. That's just using the name for a run of the mill show.

... evidence of the "lack of creativity and innovation" which exists among tv networks. -- just rework old scripts ad nausium.
