Amazon quickly orders more of the book-based drama.

Amazon announced today that Reacher has been renewed for a second season. The pickup is an early one, coming just three days after the drama's premiere on the Prime Video streaming service. The move makes sense, as the show appears to be generating a decent amount of buzz as well as high critical praise across the board.
Based on the books by Lee Child, the series follows former Army police corps major Jack Reacher, who roams the country as a drifter taking odd jobs and investigating suspicious situations. When he arrives in the town of Margrave, GA, Jack finds himself under arrest for the community's first homicide in decades. As he works to prove his innocence, a conspiracy emerges that leads to the town requiring Jack's help to get to the bottom of.
