CBS announced today that Blue Bloods has been renewed for a 13th season. The good news arrives two episodes ahead of the police drama's Season 12 finale, which is scheduled to air May 6.
The veteran series has been a Friday night staple on the network, where it consistently continues to garner healthy ratings that top its time slot competition. The show recently surpassed the 250-episode milestone.
Blue Bloods follows the Police Commissioner of New York, who runs his department in the same diplomatic manner he runs his family, even when dealing with the politics that plagued his father during his stint as Chief.
Look for Season 13 of Blue Bloods this fall as part of the 2022-2023 season.

Why is it always liberal versus conservative and us versus them. Can't people just like a show about a family that just *happens* to sometimes delve into current issues of the day? Much like shows of the past about families, what all people can enjoy is how they interact because it reminds us of our own families, biological or chosen. Family is universal.

One of the few shows not afraid to have some conservative viewpoints, despite the liberal crybabies not liking that. Great show, and not bending to the liberal demands. Much respect. Will keep watching till the end but I hope its not for a long time.

Very long run ,. Up there with very few shows that made 13 seasons other than soaps.
