Fox announced today that Beat Shazam is coming back for a seventh season. The music-based game show's return will see Jamie Foxx resume his hosting duties alongside his daughter Corinne Foxx, who will be back as the DJ. The new season is set to premiere on Tuesday, May 28.
Nick Cannon and Kelly Osbourne filled in for Jamie and Corinne in Season 6 after Jamie was hospitalized after suffering a medical complication.
"Jamie and Corinne are the heart and soul of Beat Shazam," said Allison Wallach, President of Unscripted Entertainment, Fox Entertainment. "As our undeniably dynamic father-daughter hosting team, they bring a relationship like no other to a show like no other, and it's wonderful having them back on set this season."
The show sees teams of two face off against the clock - and each another - in an attempt to identify some of the most well-known hit songs of all time across a wide variety of genres. The team with the highest score at the end moves on to face Shazam, the world's most popular song identification app, for a chance at taking home a cash prize.
