The animated series gets four more seasons.
April 2, 2025
FOX announced today that Family Guy has been given a massive 4-season renewal that will take it to at least Season 27. The move is part of an unprecedented, early four-season renewal for four of 20th Television Animation's hit series. 'The Simpsons,' 'Bob's Burgers,' and 'American Dad!' also got 4-season pickups that will take them all through the 2028-2029 broadcast cycle.
"This historic four-season order from our longtime partners at FOX is truly monumental for these iconic animated series. We are so proud that these legendary shows will continue for hundreds of more episodes, allowing new and longstanding fans to watch, rewatch and experience more of The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad and Bob's Burgers for years to come," said Marci Proietto, head of 20th Television Animation.
"This new deal celebrates the eternal popularity of these iconic comedies, as well as the enduring, prolific relationship we continue to enjoy with our friends at 20th Television Animation and the brilliant creators - that goes double for Seth this time around -- and incredible voices behind these contemporary classics," said Michael Thorn, President of FOX Television Network.
Family Guy has become a fixture in pop culture, winning numerous awards and amassing a legion of loyal fans. The show is nearing the 450-episode mark - an impressive feat in today's television landscape. For almost a decade it has ranked as FOX's most-streamed program each season.

I loved this show at first, but eventually it just became an ego trip for Seth MacFarlane.

Dan, you forgot to post your same BS on the American Dad and Bob's Burger renewal page.

I'm surprised that Trump or his FCC hasn't demanded that this show be cancelled for being "woke" despite the FCC not having the authority to do that. The only reason these animated shows keep going and going is that they are cheap to produce since voice actors command lower salaries than live action performers and most cancel/renew decisions are based on money more than ratings as in how much the networks can make. I'm of the opinion that "Grimsburg" is the only watchable animated sitcom on Fox.

Super excited for this news. While I dislike BB the rest being renewed is awesome. LOVE American Dad and I'm glad to see it coming back to broadcast. Too bad TBS is going to all crap and re-runs.

P.S. To Brenda Anderson. Brendas are the new Karens. Always have a negative opinion about fun stuff and nobody really likes them or their opinions. DVR the shows you like. Don't DVR the shows you dislike. Pretty fucking simple.

Fantastic news!!! This show is my favorite Fox show. Simpsons are great and Bob's Burgers is always lots of fun. I got away from American Dad, but I will give it another go. One request, please keep Great North. Krapopolis and the show with Jon Hamm suck. Thank you Fox!

If they're going to keep this show going at least give us a movie.
If Simpsons and Bob's Burgers can have movies why not this show?
