A medical drama following a Chief Nursing Officer who strives to put her patients' lives first.

Christina Hawthorne spends her days and nights leading a group of nurses on the front lines at Richmond Trinity Hospital. She's compassionate and headstrong, refusing to let doctors or administrators get in the way of her providing proper care for her patients.

A recently widowed single mother, Hawthorne’s dedicated focus on helping others takes a toll on her personal life. She struggles to maintain a proper balance between her career, raising her daughter, and taking care of herself.

i agree with everybody else its a shame how they did Hawthorne. sure it was a little bizzarre this season but thats why they pay the writers to fix up things and get it back on track. Well I sure hope some other station decides to pick it up. It don't matter which station i will be tuned in. But if somebody does pick it up they need to get her back with her husband. Maybe be say the infidelity was just a dream she had while in a comma from the beating or something to that fact (smile)

I am so sorry to find out that hawthoRNe has been cancelled. The show was very good. I am frustrated with the timing of the cancellation. There were so many cliff hangers and unresolved issues in the characters. Will the show be rebroadcast on a different network such as Lifetime? Let's hope so.

I accidentally saw Hawthorne one day, and started watching it. Not many programs catch and hold my attention like this one did. I think the Marc Anthony's character could have been dealt with, but they had other gripping matters that had lots of room to develop, like the relationship with her best friend who took over her job, and Christina's new position, how would that have played out? They also had the friend of the man Marc Anthony killed stalking everyone, who would finally take care of him? There were too many good story lines to pursue, and I am sure in time more people would have tuned in because it was a very good show. They did not give this series a chance and that is a shame. They dropped the ball on this one.

My husband and I love HawthoRNe and have watched since season 1. Please show this drama around to FX, OWN, Lifetime or even USA. TNT wasn't a good match. I'm proud of you Jada and Will and all these haters just confirm that you're doing EXACTLY what you're suppose to be doing. I need Christina to return, it was the only real Black woman I get to see holding it down as power base as mother and career woman while still being vulnerable in all areas including love and childhood scares. She is real and I deeply connected with her through every uncomfortable decision and situation. Let me also add your acting is Emmy worthy. BRAVO, Jada!

Jada has been trying for years to be a star and failed because she is an ice princess, on so many levels off putting. One can't help but suspect the weak rumor of divorce was an attempt to get people to watch her show. TNT did right to cancel the show. The Smiths need to go away. All of them. Do you really want to see their kids prepetuate bad acting for another generation, not to mention bad rapping. Retire please.

i was in love wiyh Tom he play a good role. I want him Tom and Hawthorne's to have there baby. The police took away from the romance between her and the doc, which had been building up through the first two seasons. They finally married in the third season, but instead of developing on from there as a happily married couple working together helping the sick, Marc Anthony messed up what should have been a great storyline that we would have enjoyed more. I really wish he had neve been put own the show. I don't like him what so ever. He kill that man and he should go to jail. Tom love here so much and here come the police and mess ever thing up.

I have been watching HawthoRNe since the first season, I got my daughter hooked at the begining of season three. This was a great show, but I didn't like the Nick ,Christina line, I'm a fan of Tom and Christina. Sure hope some other network picks this show up.Lmn and HawthoRNe are my must see tv.

I'm sorry to see Hawthorne RN cancelled--especially with a cliff-hanger.I admit I didn't find Christina likeable in season 1, and the major events of season 3--except the affair--were predictable. (I expected the pregnancy to end, and the divorce. And near the end, I expected either one of the guys to be either a murder or a murder victim.)

Hawthorne was one of a handful of shows I cared enough about to watch on purpose. Enough with these rude, brainless, classless, sleazy shows. I hope another network will pick up the show. I think they should try USA Network, where "characters are welcome."

I am very disappointed that TNT has decided to cancel Hawthorne. I have watched this show since day one, and have enjoyed each and every episode. There are many other shows that I can think of that should have been canceled, but they continue to still be aired. TNT, this was a very bad choice in my opinion, that was made. I may stop watching TNT all together, I'm very upset over your decision.
