For the final season I hope they give the loyal viewers a fantastic and hopeful ending. Killing off every likeable character would be unnecessary, so let's hope they reward us with not a perfect world, but at least an idea that the world of the 7 kingdoms will be one that endures...

As the problem is with most shows, the show dies when the writers move on. In this case, the original author is no longer writing, the show will have to end when his stories end. Every show that ever exceeded the length of the original concept passed untimely deaths by continuing beyond this point. Game of Thrones would be no exception, sadly. But, it is proof of concept when a show becomes this strong. Like Star Trek before it; the concept stood the test of time. It lives on, but only in new shows. I'd rather see a show end complete, than to have it die on a cliff hanger because ratings dropped so low, no one wanted to finance another season. Let them go when they end, and end the show as it should end. Pointless it is.

This is 1 of my all time favorite shows, I can hardly wait between seasons, and i keep hbo subscription only for this show. as true blood had its series finale and boardwalk empire is having it series finale. If game of thrones were to go well i would have NO REASON to keep hbo. with what Andy stated I hope he is wrong or hbo would be making a HUGE MISTAKE to end the show, it would definitely be in their best interest to keep this show going.

I have been mesmerized by this show since Season 2, when they played a marathon of Season 1! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!! I've found a link to the history and forklore of the books which gives great information about everyone and everything in the book. It helps explain things and gives clarity to each episode.
