A drama following the devil, who has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles.

Lucifer Morningstar was The Lord of Hell until he grew so unhappy and bored with his life that he gave it up and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns the Lux nightclub and indulges in a new lifestyle with women, wine, and song.

After a brutal murder outside his club awakens something deep within him, Lucifer begins working alongside a homicide detective to solve crime and dispense justice. His new outlook causes him to question whether there may be hope for his soul yet.

Love this show! It's fun and quirky -- like the devil himself. Actor Tom Ellis is great in role. Looking forward to more episodes!

I agree with you Jackie. I too am a Christian but I don't take offense to the content. I like the show. But I watch TV for an escape, and watching this show I escape from the world.
I hope they keep it.

I actually like the show and I am a Christian this show is funny and great. People tend to get to serious about things either they should get over it or turn the dam station. I am in I love this show it is all kind of funny.

I wonder if this show will last, but so far it has been a reasonably funny and interesting show. I will continue to watch.

This show had the potential to be awesome. Lucifer has the power of God on Earth yet this guy can only make people say what they are really thinking out loud. He is annoyingly upbeat the references to hell and him being Lucifer every 5 seconds are way over done. This is suppose to be a comedy but I haven't laughed once. The acting is horrible and the stories are poorly written. With all of the idiots in America that like "easy" shows where you don't have to think too hard.... This show will be on FOREVER!

Any show that has the title Lucifer is going to be subjected to religious controversy and disapproval. It cannot be avoided. I am reading a lot of posts that are actually blaming people who have a spiritual side to their life....This is a free world and anyone is entitled to an opinion. The reality is this...shows are cancelled because they are not drawing in enough viewers, not because of comments posted by people on a blog. While this show is unique for sure....with humorous components as well as enjoyable acting, it probably will not draw enough viewers to stay on the air. The title alone is enough to steer away many viewers, as in not even try the first episode. What the writers/producers should have thought about is a title that will pull in any person no matter what their belief. Then win them over with the pilot. I feel so many viewers are put off by the title alone that a far shake has not been given to this series. I will be truly surprised if it lasts.

I hate to say it, but I've noticed something that irritates me about this show. Each episode seems to mimic previous episodes in both storyline and style. Lucifer has that goofy incessant smile of his, and He's always peppy and upbeat which for some reason, irritates me. I wish the writers would stop trying to make him Mr. Cuteness and light. At first, I thought I would be on board until the end...but now...I'm not so sure.

@Nick - Exactly! I wish the religious sect would keep their mouths shut and let those of us enjoy the shows we like instead of trying to ruin it for everyone. Lucifer is one of the most fun shows I've seen in quite a long time. But the Networks have a habit of folding under pressure, no matter where that pressure comes from. And FOX is one of the worst for pulling the plug for little or no reason no matter what the ratings are.

Sadly, i do see this awesome show going the way of Constantine, Intelligence, and a lot of other shows that get canceled before they even appear on tv in the UK, The sooner we can stop the idiots in charge thinking that the morons that now comprise the "Nielsen" family are all inbred trailer trash with the IQ of a carrot and attention span of a gnat, and dont actually contribute to society so the adverts your pumping out to them are being ignored anyway, the better we will a be and shows like this can thrive.

I think they should have a petition to ban One Million Moms the bible bashing loons.
This show is superb episode 2 was as good as the pilot this is in the top shows out at the moment.
If they want to get rid of shows start with Downton Abbey or Game Of Thrones
