A drama that acts as a follow-up to The Karate Kid film series.
It has been 30 years since the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament. Still haunted by his past, Johnny Lawrence looks for redemption by reopening the infamous Cobra Kai karate dojo. But his old rivalry with Daniel LaRusso is reignited when their lives become intertwined with the up-and-coming generation of karate kids.

Great series and hope there is another spin off from the last movie before the Jaden Smith reboot

Omg! This show is so good. It’s been so long since I’ve reminisced and laughed my ass off. Johnny Lawrence is still hot.

OMG...I NEVER realized what an a$$ Daniel is...I airways rooted for him, but now I realize what an antagonist he is. He's totally the instigator. He NEVER listens, makes assumptions, and is a giant BULLY! Why can't he just mind his own business... he's a rich pr$ick who has thinks he's better than everyone else... I'm so disappointed. I'm a totally Johnny fan now.

I started watching this out of boredom last night, knowing it got renewed and just plain curious because the movie was awesome and I'll tell you, it was not a disappointment at all. Looking forward to the rest of the episodes.

I never comment. However, as a 50 year old raised on the films, I am really impressed by the writing and directing of the seasons. I did not watch on YouTube because I thought it was a cash grab of nostalgic for people of my age. I was was wrong. So wrong. Rooting for both sides has been a complexity of emotion. All that has to do with the cast and crew. I hope that it is a cash cow, because they earned it. The lessons from both sides as well as their redemption speaks volumes. Just MHO.

I'll probably check this out now that it's on Netflix.
