A comedy following a teenage Persian boy entering his first year of high school.
Chad is a 14-year-old Persian boy in his first year of high school. Wanting desperately to be popular, Chad's friendships and sanity are tested as he does his best to make friends with the cool kids while enduring his mom's dating life and reconciling with his cultural identity.

Pretty bad acting, concept, and cringe worthy ALL around, not to mention the sexism that has a 39 year old woman playing a 14 year old boy. Chad isn't supposed to be a transgender boy but just a regular boy, but is creepily obviously a woman playing a boy with cartoonist eyebrows. Really, really bad.

Stop trying to make being a transgender look cool and trendy. This only makes me hate their community more. The 40 year old woman who wrote the show could've gotten an actual teenage boy to play the part, and she could've played as the main character's mom if she wanted to be in the show that badly.

Omg what the hell did I just watch the whole time I was wondering if the story was supposed to be about like a transgender kid or if it was a girl but then he says he has a penis etc... it was just plain confusing not to mention EXTREMELY BAD ACTING like what the... why is this even on TV next time I’ll change the channel no doubt.. I had better hopes and honestly it would have been a lot better well idk maybe at least have made since if the backstory had been that SHE was Now a HE starting high school and the amount of times “he” said, I’m Chad was like ya know because he was a boy named chad now instead of whatever name before now.. all I know is this show was shit!

For those commenting about kids, Christianity, and transgender: first, clearly this isn’t a show for your kids to watch. Do some parenting instead of being mad what they watch. Send their ass to Christian camps. It’s the only way to ensure Jesus will love them. Or better yet, throw out your TVs and get the family Bible ready.
Back to the show, the actress playing chad does do a good job. But the noticeable age difference does distract from the shows purpose. The series premiere really should haven been two episodes. I feel like the premiere really wasn’t all that spectacular to keep me hooked or excited enough to wait a week for the next episode. TBS really hyped Chad up, but so far it has not lived up to the expectation. Chad did have some very funny lines, and it feels like this show will eventually lead into a heart warming self acceptance of chads own self.
Jerry, Will, all you other self righteous fuckers: Try watching tv when you’re not so sensitive. Poor guys, being such snowflakes must be rough.

This show is horrible, not funny at all. Why is a 38 year old woman playing a 14 year old boy? Sooooooooo many questions to the actual motivation of this crap show.
