A coming-of-age comedy that takes a nostalgic look at a 1960s Black middle-class family.

This coming-of-age story takes a look back in time at a Black middle-class family in 1960s Montgomery, Alabama, from the point of view of imaginative 12-year-old named Dean.

Narrated by his grown-up self with the wisdom of his adult years, Dean reflects on some of the best years of his life with his family during a turbulent time.

Inspired by the award-winning 1988 series of the same name.

After spending this season wondering what the heck happened to season 2 of "The Wonder Years", it appears it will finally make its appearance this June.

With all the attention at ABC going to "Abbott Elementary", this was a much overlooked series during its first season. There was apparently some behind-the-scenes drama with the firing of Fred Savage that held up the second season premiere. It deserves better.

Love that they made the Wonder Years from the veiw of the other side of the tracks. Definitely not a reboot but a fresh view. This show has a lot more to offer glad it got another season to branch out more

Season 2 will be its last they've lost 55% of their original audience after the 3rd show and it gets worse.

The cast doesnt get along and they all agree the young boy is a horrible actor... just bad casting.

Fred Savage has now been accused by and confirmed by 6 women that he was groping 1 crew member and verbally belittling others.

Way to go Fred .

Now I will tell you this, he is an excellent director - he definitely has a talent for this.

Everyone crying "no more reboots", "stop remaking everyhing". you do all realize all the shows we watched in the 80's and 90's were also "copycats" of shows from the 50's and 60's?? The ideas are used over and over again, decade after decade. You just wait.. youll hear your grandkids saying it too.

I like the new Wonder years. I do notice one thing tho. IIRC, the original family wasnt' really made of money but this family seems well to do. If I am wrong, please correct me on that..
Why not make the family the same economic level?
I would like to see this show made with a much poorer white family and a much poorer black family. Heck, even an asian family (I still miss Fresh Off The Boat!!).

I've been trying to put my finger on what's wrong with this show until now. It isn't so much the writing as the kid who plays the main character. He just isn't right for this. He is the worst actor in the show. The actors who play his parents, friends, and sister are all so much better than he is. Whenever someone other than he is on screen my interest goes up and whenever the camera goes back to him I am bored. They could have picked any of the other actors who play his friends to play his role and it would be better. There is nothing they can do about this now. This show is doomed no matter how many times they may renew it.

Well, they fired Fred Savage as Executive Producer/Director...he was the kid from the original show. They're not actually saying what he did?

Why REMAKE Wonder Years? This could been a good show if it was done in its' own way. Like the characters, but don't like the copycat version.

No. Just no. Stop reusing ideas. Come up with your own. I sincerely hope it flops. Like every other reboot.

I anticipate this show doing particularly well especially with the coveted 18-49 demographic that advertisers pursue. This will work because it is based on something from the 80s and 90s. "Wonder Years" is still the one to beat for sitcoms with a coming of age storyline.
If it fails it will be because it is based on an 80s property and not true to itself. Too many people feeling like this is a wrong sounding clone won't help the ratings.
