The new comedy will return for a second season.

ABC has renewed The Goldbergs for a second season. The freshman comedy, which is set in the 80's, is finishing up its 23-episode debut run next week, where it aired in the 9:00pm time slot on Tuesday nights.
UPDATE: Season 6 of The Goldbergs will premiere on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 8:30pm.

If you ask me this is the best sitcom on television. Great move keeping it around. I never could relate to Modern Family or find it funny. This, on the other hand, is gold.
