The dance competition returns next summer.
November 17, 2014
FOX announced today that So You Think You Can Dance has been renewed for a 12th season. When the Emmy Award-winning dance series returns, a new "Stage vs. Street" format will be introduced to the competition by splitting auditioning dancers into two teams. The stage dancers team will feature styles such as jazz, ballet, and contemporary; while the street dancers team will feature the likes of hip hop, breaking, and animation. The eventual Top 20 will be comprised of 10 dancers from each team, with one competitor from each side being eliminated each week.
Look for Season 12 of SYTYCD to return in summer 2015.

SMH! How is this piece of garbage still on? Whatever, I don't watch it, it's one of those useless Summer shows. But these networks - all of them..cancel some decent shows but keep renewing the vapid crap. Oh well.

This is just about my favorite show on Television. And America's Got Talent cannot even be compared to this show. There is a reason SYTYCD has won 13 Emmys and AGT has won 0.

Love the show. It's entertaining and uplifting and changes the lives of many young dances. It is not supposed to please everyone and has never claimed to. People who leave nasty negative comments need to grow up and learn that the world doesn't revolve around them.
