The dance competition will be back this summer.
February 20, 2020
Fox announced today that So You Think You Can Dance will be returning this summer for a 17th season. The veteran dance competition is kicking off auditions next month in Miami, New York, and LA for contestants over the age of 18, continuing to stick with its traditional adult age range format - a trend that was bucked in 2016 when the show tested out child dancers for one season.
The Emmy Award-winning series has maintained its status as a reliable summer performer for the network. While ratings in recent years are not what they were in the show's prime, various format changes have kept audiences tuning in for over a decade.
Look for Season 17 of So You Think You Can Dance to premiere this summer with a new group of performers ready to show off their skills in a wide variety of dance styles.
